ACCS position on the suspension of the Racial Discrimination Act in the NT
This position was adopted by ACCS 12 May 2009 and outlines ACCS' opposition to the suspension of the Racial Discrimination Act in the Northern Territory. ACCS calls on the Commonwealth Government to act immediately to introduce amendments to the Northern Territory Emergency Response legislation (NTER) to ensure it complies with the RDA.
ACCS believes that families and children have the right to choose not for profit community owned children’s services. This position paper sets out how the Federal Government could ensure that this choice is available for Australian families.
